If you ask me my favorite season, summer time has always been my immediate answer. Beach days, family vacations, and a good summer BBQ are just a few of the things I love.
As we are now in the middle of BBQ season I figured I would post one of my go to pasta salad recipes. Whether we are hosting or attending a BBQ this is one of my favorite recipes.
I’m always changing it and using whatever I have in my fridge and pantry. You can switch out the veggies for ones you favor more, add cheese if you have it on hand, or even use a different dressing.
This is my basic recipe, change it to how you see fit!
- 4 cups of broccoli
- 1 orange pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- 2 cups of matchstick carrots
- 2 cups of Orzo
- Italian dressing
- Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
- Cook Orzo according to package directions
- Chop the broccoli into bite size pieces
- Dice peppers
- In a bowl, combine vegetables, orzo, and italian dressing
- Season to your liking and enjoy!
Enjoying our BBQs on our back patio is one of my favorite ways to spend our summer weekends. Our ABBA Patio adds to the enjoyment. We have a comfortable place to relax with friends and family, plus Livey loves the swing! It is also great for the Florida Sun – the shade at the top is adjustable, so I am able to tilt it at different angles to help block the sun. It is the perfect addition to ourback patio.
